Monster 'Neath My Bed
There's a monster 'neath my bed
Don't tell me he's not real
I've heard his voice and smelled his breath
And that just sealed the deal
He's very old and traveled the world
Every country he has seen
As he goes from house to house
Scaring kids like me
He tells me of the kids in France
Of kids in Greenland too
Ev'ry kid in ev'ry town
The same as me and you
The monster tells me of the trees
That do not grow near me
And sings the songs that children sing
With foreign melodies
Yes there's a monster 'neath my bed
With horns so sharp and gore-y
But I don't mind that he is there
For he tells most wonderful stories
